If you don't know the be-boppin', toe-tappin' sounds of Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, you need to change that. Not only do I love the fact that Sharon has killer pipes, but this woman used to be a correctional officer. (I think that tells you something about her no-nonsense attitude to good tunes). Her songs are catchy, fun, and all around feel-good. While I have both Dap Dippin' with Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings, and Naturally, as a newbie, I'd pick-up Naturally first. It's already found itself on my go-to, need-a-pick-me-up, Jam List to fight those office duldrums around 4:00pm on a Friday. Check her out. You won't be sorry. I'm already psyched about her NYE show at the 9:30 Club. Tickets are still available, but won't be for long.
